Do You Sing for Leisure?

Do You Sing for Leisure?

Everyone knows that one of the most enjoyable activities is singing – whether at karaoke, an impromptu get-together, singing in the car on the way to work, or just relaxing with a good sing-along in the shower. The fact is, however, that sometimes while singing for fun we might injure or strain our voices, for fun. But it doesn’t have to be like this.

At Armstrong’s School of Singing we have helped many students who are simply singing for leisure and wanting to improve their voice. Singing is a natural activity after all, so why shouldn’t you be able to improve? It doesn’t matter your ability, your talent level or your goals, at Armstrong’s we’ll show you how!

We understand singing and we understand the many reasons behind why individuals want to improve their singing. At Armstrong's:

We provide lessons that keep the fun and enjoyment in all your singing endeavours.

Our holistic approach teaches you how to produce outstanding sound using the very best vocal techniques, making singing easy and natural the way nature intended.

Our instructors really care about their students and want to help you achieve your goals – whatever they may be.

We know that singing is far from just a vocal development exercise. It is also about personal development.

We provide performance opportunities, giving students a chance to ‘strut their stuff’.

What to Expect:

Free consultation session

The initial consultation is a friendly and informal first meeting with your teacher. During this half hour you will have the chance to discuss your singing goals and aspirations. You will also be guided through various vocal activities designed to determine your current vocal abilities. With this information we can then draw up your personalised plan to get you right where you want to be.

Lessons

Fun singing comes from a balance between the mental, physical and emotional. All new students cover an initial 10 vocal modules, irrespective of ability:

Vowels & Articulators - Releasing the tongue & jaw

Extending the Range - Navigating the break/passaggio

Style - Interpretation & Emotion.

These modules are personalised using exercises and techniques specific to your vocal requirements, improving your ability to sing easily and safely, increasing your level of enjoyment!
